The B1866 shop in Seven Dials, London will be offering handmade frames direct in-house from some of the most respected names in the handmade bicycle world. Dario Pegoretti, Ricky Feather, and Darren Crisp are already among those signed up to offer personal consultation inside the B1866 premises, meaning customers will not have to travel to the frame-builders’ studios, but be measured and fitted right in the heart of London.

Dario using a mind trick to keep the bike standing
Dario Pegoretti is one of the leading names in bespoke/custom frame building. His workshop sits in the small town of Caldonazzo in northern Italy and the artwork that adorns his frames is just as much part of the custom build as the frame itself. For instance if you ordered the ‘Ciavete’ paint-work for your own custom Pegoretti frame, you will get a frame hand painted by Dario himself, with the colours and graphics being whatever takes his fancy at the time.
To celebrate his trip to London, Mr. Pegoretti will bring with him his latest creation, a collaboration with the new Brooks Cambium Saddle centred on the Italian espresso brand Goppion. It features the award winning Cambium which is created from the burlap of a coffee sack, and rich coffee themed detailing in the paintwork on the frame.

Following in the footsteps of Dario Pegoretti in the @B1866 programme will be; Ricky Feather who is keeper of the flame at Feather Cycles in Yorkshire and Darren Crisp, master of unobtanium at Crisp Titanium in the foot hills of Tuscany for those who want a custom made Titanium bicycle.
